Skerries Town over 35’s continued their good start to the season making it 4 wins from 5 in the league with a 4-1 win over table toppers Ratoath Harps.

Two goals from Martin Beggs, one the culmination of fine approach play between Emmet Dillon & Gavin Smith, and penalties from Ben Gahan and Ed Doherty made it a satisfactory afternoon for the home team.

Ratoath replied with a penalty of their own, initially saved by the ever reliable Vincent Hughes, but the taker was quickest to the rebound to slot home.

The only blot on the afternoon was a serious ankle injury to a Ratoath player which will require surgery.
